So I've been writing daily for a couple weeks now.

Well, I've been [Flow Writing](https://acmewong.com/flow-writing/) a couple pages by hand *most* days for more than a year, but as far as "showing my work goes," I've only been blogging for two weeks.

This post is actually my 14th blog post, woo hoo!

An inspiration struck me earlier when I came across an interesting iPhone "camera replacement" app.

It's an app that takes better looking photos than the standard iPhone camera app, which does a lot of sharpening and over-processing.

I set up the app, played around with it to find a "look" that I really liked, and then I found myself naturally taking photos throughout the day once I had it set up.

I found myself seeing the world around me differently and looking for cool photos to capture.

I found myself.

My inner photographer, the part of me that has always loved photography, came out to play.

Oh and I like this feature in the app where it can automatically add a nice little date-stamp to each photo, permanently marking it with that day's date.

See! It tattoos the date to the bottom of it.

I love the permanence of it.

I can't take a photo today and post it a year from now and try to pass it off as a recent photo.

It makes all this digital stuff feel a little more real.

So my inspiration was this: to incorporate simple iPhone photography into my daily creative practice by doing a carousel post daily on Instagram.

The post's description will be a juicy section that I pull from the blog post that I wrote that day.

For the post's photos, I will only use photos that I took using my new camera app on that day.

I might also allow myself to include any good photos that I took the previous day, but that were taken after I already posted the carousel for that day.

The idea is to get a good flow down for sharing, on Instagram, a daily teaser of the full article that I wrote that day.

If a blog reader (at the time of this writing there is currently ONE) likes a particular blog post and its featured photo, which will be a photo taken from that day and will not be repeated in the Instagram carousel, then they can head to my IG to see the rest of my Photos of the Day.

If an Instagrammer likes a particular IG carousel, in particular the description where a "segment of substance" was extracted from that day's blog post, then they can go to my profile and click the link that will take them to that day's blog post.

Ooo... so the blog post for that day will link people to the IG carousel post for that day, and my link-in-bio on that day will link directly to the blog post for that day.

Easy to update that once a day once I get the rhythm for it down.

I should create a simple step-by-step checklist to make sure I don't forget anything.

It's all simple and easy stuff, but there is a certain order to it and there are certain things I don't want to forget to do daily.

This blog is virtually invisible, so I will get much more visibility on Instagram–which is essential if I want to strike up conversations around the topics that I am marinating on and writing about.

Those conversations could teach me more about myself.

They could teach me about others.

They could also give me a clearer direction to take my creativity.

What a beautiful synergy.

Doing this will feed both the writer and the photographer in me.

...but what if I go for the trifecta?

Writing on my blog...

Taking photos for the 'gram...

...and vlogging for the 'tube.

The Creative Trifecta!

Writing, Photography, Videography.

Blogging, Photographing, and Vlogging.

That doesn't work.

Blogging, Plogging, and Vlogging!

Oh come on, just give me this one.

How often do we get to "coin a phrase."

Just let me be, "Acme Wong, Plogger."

There are plenty of ploggers out there and it's time we stand together and support each other in our plogventures.

We can make this world a brighter place one plog at a time.

I don't care how vulgar it sounds to you, I'm totally making plogging a thing.

If I go for the trifecta every single day, how long will this take me?

Am I being unrealistic?

Writing a blog post takes 1hr 30m at most.

Taking photos naturally throughout the day takes 15m at most. I'll just aim and shoot, no editing of any kind.

Vlogging a 10-minute (max) video, getting set up, doing the recording, lightly editing the video, and putting together a title, thumbnail, and description for the video would take 1hr 15m at most.

So it's a 3-hour creative workday.

Maybe 2h 30m.

Maybe less if everything just flows throughout the day.

That's really not bad, right?

Advancing DAILY as a writer, a photographer, and YouTuber in under 20 hours/week.

Omg, if I do this tomorrow and actually post a YouTube video, it will count as me having officially launched my YouTube Channel!

That's a dream of mine.

Guess I'll be making dreams come true tomorrow!

See ya there,

Acme
