Nothing
How do we create when we feel blocked?
We show up to make something–whether it's writing, painting, or some other art or craft we've dedicated ourselves to–and find that we have nothing.
We stare at that blank page, canvas, or screen and feel we literally have nothing to offer.
It can feel disheartening.
It can feel distressing.
It can feel depressing.
It can feel a lot of ways.
A feeling is something.
When you feel you have nothing to offer, you have something to offer.
Take that feeling and make something out of it for others to see, hear, and/or feel.
Nothing is something.
Something that others can relate to.
Something that others can understand.
Something that can make others feel seen.
Paint that nothing.
Write about that nothing.
Compose a song about that nothing.
Work on that nothing.
Now you're onto something.
You were already onto something.
You always were perfectly onto something.
You never have nothing, because nothing is something.
Even if it's something small, like my writing today.
So make something of your nothing today.
This is what my nothing feels like.
Hope you like it.
