The Purpose of Life

It is no accident that we are here, on planet Earth, living the lives that we are living.

From the perspective of the ego, life is dull.

But in reality, it only appears dull because of how the ego filters out much of raw beauty of existence, its vibrancy, it's electric charm.

It can be hard to feel like our lives are truly important or have significant purpose behind them.

For some of us, that feeling is an overwhelming, daily battle that weighs us down.

When we put our faith in the physical, it's natural for our ego to look at our lives and just round everything down and go...

• "So-and-so already wrote a book on XYZ, so why bother?"
• "Why would anyone want to watch your YouTube videos when so-and-so is already making better videos than you could ever make?"
• "Why bother with anything? The sun is eventually going to go supernova and blow up our solar system, annihilating all human life and everything we've ever created. So how could anything we do ever matter?"

Hopefully your ego isn't as bad as mine.

I've managed to chill my ego out a bit, but it is still always rounding down everything that I have done and everything that I want to do.

It's tempting and alluring to buy into it.

In a way it's trying to "let us off the hook."

But we didn't come here to be off the hook.

We came here specifically to be on the hook.

We came here to face challenges and overcome them.

Not because we might leave some physical legacy, but because we have an opportunity to leave a divine one.

Physical reality is just the stage where we play out the stories.

It's about the characters and how their souls evolve through the story.

It's about noble causes that characters decided were worth fighting for.

It's about inner demons that characters decided they'd had enough of.

It's about characters asking "what if," then taking chances, and finding out.

We are the characters and embodying these characters in physicality is the most epic thing that we could do in the universe, the multiverse, and beyond.

This is the most immersive, educating, and entertaining thing our souls could experience, and our souls get to experience this first hand.

The angels look upon the lives we lead and are in constant awe at the things we take for granted.

Everything we think is "no big deal" is actually monumental.

Imagine feeling tired, you don't feel like cleaning something, but you force yourself up, off your lazy ass, wet a paper towel, clean that thing, and then plop back down.

That experience probably took less than a minute in physical reality and you'll probably forget about it and never be able to recall it by tomorrow, but a billion angels just had their minds blown right.

The angels witnessed that, despite the denseness and heaviness of physical reality, you were able to overcome resistance when it would have been easier to not do anything.

You did a thing. AND that thing wasn't easy. AND you did it in physical reality.

Every small, seemingly insignificant deed, every tiny victory that we've ever rounded down and dismissed, is an incredible triumph in the spiritual realm.

Angels only get to experience potential.

They can experience the potential of an infinite number of things, and they can experience those potentials infinitely, but they can only experience what those things could be.

Angels aren't able to directly experience what those things are like from the perspective of a specific character with a unique backstory.

Angels can experience the potential of love, grace, growth, glory, fun, adventure, excitement, fear, courage, strength, determination, etc.

You get to actually experience those things (and more) in the unique way that only you could ever experience them.

We come from the Divine Realm to this Epic Realm to turn potential into power.

We are right where we want to be.

Any obstacles we're struggling with, internally or externally, were placed on our path by us and can be used to propel ourself forward and unleash great growth and glory. Fantastic fun and fulfillment.

We're here to be the best we can be in this moment, even if that's just a tiny bit better than yesterday.

Enjoy this moment and the moments ever-unfolding before you.
